H2Oasis Playground_ Attawit Sotyom (Edit from comments)

1. My name : Attawit Sotyom

2. Project name : H2Oasis

3. Key term : Viscous Bodies

"The fluid model of viscosity is the condition where the cohesive characteristics of a body are determined by external frictions, pressures and heat exerted upon it. Viscosity is a quality of being mutable or changeable in response to both favorable and unfavorable situations that occur by Viscosity”

How this concept relate to my design?
When you get into H2Oasis, you will feel the movement of non-static spaces from every part of the playground. Some areas create slow movement, while some have fast and furious feelings by the different curves and elements. The deeper you move into the spaces, the more you feel exiting from the unpredictable happenings.

The aim of the project was to create a node of cultural exchanges that at the same time serve as a landmark announcing the arrival to the city. The new museum is like a coralline concretion, empty inside, hard and spongy on the external surface, able to accommodate, in a continuous osmotic exchange with the external atmosphere, cultural activities in a lively and changing environment.

Clothes are what being cut and made of two-dimensional fabric and wrap up three-dimensional body. It started with the idea of adjusting temperature and later grew up into the second skin. Spaces also wrap up body, adjusting temperature. However being different from clothes, space cannot move. Furthermore, instead of space defining elements such as floor, wall or ceiling, there still have the third skin between space and clothes, they are partition, furniture and so on. ‘Clothes like space’ or ‘Space like clothes’ is what they tried to express.

The interior and exterior elements are referred to nature such as tree, flower or nautilus shell.
