'Matter in Pregnance'

'In the case of technique, the logic are understood to be there as a kind of immanence or pregnance in matter, and there are allowed in matter because the world is only matter and its products and nothing besides.' Sanford Kwinter 'Leap in the Void'

Project Description:

The project seeks the emergent form of an amalgam of reality objects, such as
animals and plants. The term ‘Animanglobe’ literally describes the my procedure
to combine 2 different elements in terms of functionality, aesthetics,
symbolic meaning of objects in real world. As Kwinter describes above, the
technique to achieve a form of amalgam of elements is the main focus of the
project, at the same time the technique should also be considered as one of
the elements of an amalgam. The materiality in the project is eliminated in the
process and the form is reduced to ‘Matter’ which is everything that exists in
the world. Non-hierachical treatment of reality will take our subjectivity and
bias out from the design process and here there is a potential for the true
emergent form where laws of nature resides.
