ANINDITA C LEKSONO _ ATTAWIT SOTYOM (after midterm)

Learn more about lily, the cellular structure from lily's petal (the texture), stalks, and the early stage bud.
by: Brian Johnston ( Canada)

People are be able to use all of the elements in this form. We change the petal form, and add a new element through the stalk. We want to make this more playful than the last one.

    Thank you for posting
I really appreciate your effort, but I think what you should do now is taking the MIDTERM-version of your design and prepare it for 3D printing.
This will help you to reduce and focus your design and that is exactly what is neccessary for your project (focusing on the best design idea and working on that aspect – not adding more and more ideas) ;)
What will happen when you prepare for 3D printing is that (the person in charge will tell you that) you won’t be able to print all the thin structures in your project so you will have to get rid of those for the printed model – you will see a clear view of your design and can analyze it for further refinement.
The second issue you will have to solve is designing how your project is grounded . Drawing a section will help you to define the ground in your project. For clarification I will send a couple of images (to all students) how students in previous studios solved this issue.
Before we start preparing for 3D printing we have to figure out about the size of the site model (we should have one site model for the whole studio) either in scale 1:100 or 1:50
So right now all of you should go tomorrow (Monday) to the 3D print studio with the MIDTERM design and ask which size is better suited for printing in relation to the costs of the models.
According to that information you should adjust the design of your projects for printing.
