I took the term from 'Leap in the Void'. Kwinter says:
'In the case of technique, the logic are understood to be there as a kind of immanence or pregnance in matter, and there are allowed in matter because the world is only matter and its products and nothing besides.'
I wanted to use this word in my project because I am interested in transforming human activity to an object using technique that transcends the boundary of structure/ skin/ volume/ human body. 'Pregnance' seems to express the state of 'accomodation' where multiple elements are inside of each other.
can you explain the term 'Pregnance'?
