We are still working in the ground foldinggs at the base of the tail, in order to produce the sensation of earth tearing when the tails sumerge into it. We will also develop further the ground, we are working on different textures and the ivys, aswell as the render sensibilities.

The upper image is a bigger size. I am still working on how to make the transition between the net and the rest of the elements






















I start all the geometry from scratch to make it cleanner. I play with the bubbles in the ground, in order to give more life and viscous aspect to the playground. I am still working on the render results, as well as how the joints between the net and the suspending elements looks like, to get a more natural transition. The upper level is defined by the overlapping of two circular pattern layers, one pink and the other skyblue, to get the moire effect.

We start to work with plans and sections




We work on how the tentacles endings( coiling themselves around the other set of big tentacles)


and we did some experiments about how to work with a gradient coloration ( but it is still not working for the whole shape because it is a complicated one) but we did manage to work in the blur gradient colouring effect for the connexion between the white ground and the red tentacles

We work on the interior, thinking about performance, materials and organic nets. So, we design the interior shell as a soft "wall" with also some bumps, but with some alterations , plus, an organic net ( we had a look at Ernesto Neto's works), in a soft and flexible material so people can grab those stripes and play with them as they wish, it could form a swing, they could settle on them, hang,etc...




Also, we thought about lights, so these organic net has some lightings devices in order to create an ambience during the evenings, and these soft light will also go through the holes to the "exterior" , becoming an inversion of what happen during the day ( the natural light coming through the holes to the "interior")


Here we begun to design abit more these net giving it more gravity...
The white ground is suppose to be a soft , rubber material so people can lay over it, in the soft depressions of this white new toplogy, becoming the ground a playground on itself but related to what is happening on the surface.

Working on joining all the bubbles into one piece through Booleon-union. It took a while to master this technique but the model works with subD.
Working on the interior space.

The playground is cut to reveal the inside guts as it were. This is based on the idea of the grotesque as used in literature where characters are charcterized by both empathy and disgust. This a quote from wikipedia. In this way both the cute and its opposite"ugly" are presented at the same time. One being the inverse of the other.



The inside guts become the ugly space which is the opposite of the cute.

People are be able to use all of the elements in this form. We change the petal form, and add a new element through the stalk. We want to make this more playful than the last one.
