The task of this semester is the design of a playground in Berlin.
The programmatic constrains allow for a multiplicity of morphologies which include a multitude of surface conditions as well as the economic advantages generated by form. Additionally these explorations into surface conditions allow for a variety of results that include topics such as performative qualities of continuous surfaces. Especially apertures in complex curved geometries and the chromatic affects generated by specific colorations are explored in depth in this studio, applying the most advanced digital design techniques and computational fabrication tools such as 3D printers and laser cutters.
